WWE to Change Up Commentary Teams, Michale Cole Returning to Raw
– Variety reports that WWE is changing up its commentary teams again, and the latest change will begin starting with Monday’s Raw on August 7. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will be joining the broadcast commentary team for the show on USA Network.
This will mark Barrett’s first time as part of the Raw broadcast team. He started doing WWE broadcast commentary as part of NXT before moving to SmackDown late last year. Meanwhile, Raw’s Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves will now move to SmackDown.
According to Variety’s report, Cole is going to remain as part of the broadcast commentary team for SmackDown, which will now feature Cole, Patrick, and Graves starting with the August 11 broadcast on FOX. WWE is reportedly high on Patrick, and officials believe that pairing him together with Cole will benefit his growth as a broadcaster. Cole has been a part of WWE’s broadcast team since 1997.
