– Pete Dunne addressed his status on the UK indy scene in a promo at a PROGRESS show. Dunne is the current UK champion and is on a contract that allows him to work the UK indepedent companies, including PROGRESS. After he lost the PROGRESS Wrestling Championship to Travis Banks in September, fans have been wondering if Dunne will be signing with WWE full-time.
During a promo at PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 56, Dunne said that his future in the UK is “unclear” according to Sportskeeda. Accompanied to the ring by fellow British Strong Style members (and WWE UK stars) Trent Seven and Tyler Bate, Dunne apologized for his heelish actions over the past few months while he was champion. He said that he will provide a further update on his future later.
WWE is reportedly pitching their UK series, currently titled King of the Ring, to UK broadcasters.
