Xia Brookside Weighs In On Her Father Robbie’s Influence On Wrestling

Robbie Brookside is an independent legend in Europe, and his daughter Xia recently talked about his influence on the current generation of stars. Robbie has worked as a coach in the WWE Performance Center for several years now, and Xia spoke with Fightful about how wrestlers regularly tell her how much her father impacted their careers.

“So I love it ‘cause I’m really, really close with my dad and then I’ll meet all these new wrestlers,” Xia said. “They’ll just tell me how much influence he’s had on their career, but also I’ll meet people that have maybe been in NXT for a portion of time. I’m starting to meet them now being on the American side of it, I’m meeting a lot more people that have been in NXT, whether they’ve been on TV or just been there for a few months, wrestlers or athletes that have been there. I’ll meet them and they’re like, ‘Your dad helped me so much in NXT. He was like a mentor.’ ‘Cause that’s who he is as a person.”

She concluded, “So hearing these stories about how he’s helped all these people, my heart is like, ‘That’s my dad. He’s such a good person.’”
