Zelina Vega Reveals When She Found Out About WWE Release, Her Reaction

Zelina Vega revealed on her Twitch stream when she was informed about her WWE release, and her reaction to the news. As noted, Vega and Aleister Black were among those released from the company on Friday. Their release game just about a year after Black had made his return to the company.

Vega streamed on Twitch following news of the releases breaking and addressed her release. She noted that her no-compete is for 90 days. WWE non-compete clauses are not “true” non-competes; talent is informed that they are being let go and their contracts last the prescribed period after that. “5:09 PM [ET] is when I found out.”

On Being Shocked By the News:

“Not even like, ‘Okay, I was off TV necessarily all the time.’ I was off TV for a bit, if you would’ve let ‘Zelina’ like be ‘Zelina’ in the way I had envisioned, or we had envisioned, for this new character, y’all would’ve f**king loved it.”

Zelina Vega and Aleister Black’s releases were reported at about 8 PM ET.
