Brock Lesnar Retires From MMA

February 14, 2017 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Brock Lesnar has called it quits on his MMA career (again). A spokesperson for the UFC confirmed to MMA Fighting that Lesnar has notified the company of his decision to retire from the sport. Lesnar has been removed from the USADA drug testing pool and is no longer on the UFC roster according to USADA spokesperson Ryan Madden.

Lesnar’s retirement comes after he was suspended for a year by USADA last month for testing positive for clomiphene twice around his fight at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt. He would have been eligible to return on July 15th. Since he is no longer in the testing pool, his suspension has been frozen and if he decides to unretire, he would need to serve out the remaining five months of his suspension from the point that he re-enters the testing pool.
