411’s WWE RAW Report 9.14.15

September 14, 2015 | Posted by Tony Acero

THE SEASON PREMIERE OF THE 411 WWE RAW REPORT!!!

It’s the last RAW before a PPV headlined by Sting! More importantly, tonight sees AJ Lee’s record on the line! When asked for thoughts, AJ had this to say:

We start, immediately, with a recap of Seth Rollins last week, you know, where he recaps two weeks prior to that? Are we up to date?

After that short, pointless, segment, we hear The Authority’s music, and they come down to the top of the ramp. There is the logo for Conor’s Cure emblazoned on the ramp, and Steph makes notice of it. So they’re face as of now. Apparently, this is the Season Premiere of Monday Night RAW. Triple H says WWE has been pretty successful this year. Steph brings up Reigns and Ambrose and Rusev, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, and says they’ve all brought the goods. Triple H brings up one man specifically, however. And this man is THEE MAN…Seth Rollins. This Sunday at Night of Champions, Seth has an opportunity to cement his legacy forever. He will defend the US Title against John Cena. He will also defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against. Sting.

Steph brings up the Divas Revolution, and tonight we are guaranteed to see history. Nikki Bella will face Charlotte for the Divas Championship. This will be one of the biggest Divas matches in history. Triple H says this isn’t the only history we’ll see here tonight. There’s more. Tonight, for the first time ever…Sting will compete on RAW. Triple H sold this way better than I typed it out. Sorry.

Sting will be here in this ring tonight, just six days before he competes for the title. Tonight, history is made, as Sting goes one-on-one with The Big Show.

New Day heads out to the ring, trombone accompanied. They enter while Triple H heads to the apron. New Day dances….Steph joins them. Triple H looks on, cynically. He then hops in the ring and…attempts to dance. In all honesty, Trips really channeled Vince McMahon here. I don’t know how to feel.

Match 1: WWE Tag Team Championship Match
New Day vs. Primetime Players

We ‘re starting with Kofi and Young. Young gets a few quick pins, then works the arm of Kofi before tagging in Titus. Kofi punches away and quickly tags in Big E. Big E gets Titus in the corner with some uppercuts as Woods plays the trombone. Big E hops over a cornered Titus, but Titus hits a body slam, does a quick nae nae, then drops a leg. Tag to Young. Young hits a chop, then tags in Titus again. Titus with his own chop then a hard blow to the chest. Big E fights back, and hits a belly to belly. Tag to Kofi. Kofi attacks the back. Kofi mockingly barks like a chihuahua. hahaha. Wonderful. Titus shoots up with a hard clothesline. He crawls towards a tag to Young. Hits it. Young with a cllothesline. Another. Right hands. Whip, and another clothesline. Young ducks a right hand. Overhead belly to belly! He knocks Big E off the apron. Kofi goes for the SOS, but Young sends Kofi to the corner. Man, that was fun.
Rating: ***

New Day celebrates in the ring, but The Dudley Boyz come to the top of the ramp to shout out their intentions of defeat.

Backstage, Steph tells Triple H that she has never seen him dance like that. Seth comes in to say that New Day Rocks. -_-

Seth says that they have done a great job with Sting vs The Big Show. It’s a good one. Seth says Sting will take him out with the trash. What about Cena, though? And Sheamus? Triple H says it sounds like Seth just solved his own problem. Seth shows glee in the idea of Sheamus vs Cena. Steph tells Seth to just focus on NOC. He’s happy, says THEY ROCK. Steph claps along.

We shift gears to a “bombshell” being dropped last week. This bombshell, of course, being that Charlotte will be getting her match for the Divas Title tonight. BOMB. DROPPED.

We are backstage with Renee Young. She has Charlotte nearby, who has bejeweled her face for no apparent reason. Ric Flair is here to join us! Young wants to know how Charlotte has been preparing for this match. Charlotte ignores the question and says becoming the Divas Champ has been her dream since she began, but more importantly, reaching the heights of her daddy is important. Flair on the mic, says these girls are busting their butts to put on great matches. Tonight, Nikki Bella and Charlotte are going to rock the house. Flair is super excited. Young says that if Charlotte wins, she is putting a stop to the record that Nikki could be breaking. Charlotte says that becoming a champion is her goal right now. But the Divas Revolution, is more like an Evolution…and watching the Bella Empire crumble would be a beautiful thing. We get some dual WOOS to close that out.

Match 2: Paige vs Sasha Banks
Paige on the offense quickly. They tumble around the ring. Paige goes for the hair and drops a few rights to the back of the shoulder. The ref finally breaks it up, but Paige goes fo rthe hair and tosses Sasha across the ring. One more for fun. The ref warns Paige. Paige runs, but Sasha sends her to the apron. After the match, Naomi and Tamina attack Paige and Becky. Sasha is in. She send Paige to the outside, then attack Becky a bit. Tamina sends Becky to the outside.

We are back after a break. The Miz is in the middle of the ring. He tries to do a little call and response to the crowd, but no one is buying it. Miz gloats about his run-ins with celebrities, and says tonight he pulled out all the stops to bring us some very special guests. He welcomes The Wyatt Family.

Miz appreciates the lighting. He tells The Wyatts to make themselves at home, so Braun tosses a chair out of the ring. Wyatt tells Miz not to sit, and says he is not safe here. Miz assures Wyatt that Miz is not friends with Ambrose or Reigns, and is not their partner at Hell in a Cell. Huh?

Miz asks who Braun Strowman is. Wyatt says to ask him on his own. Miz looks towards The Black Sheep, and offers him the mic to tell us a bit about himself. Stromwn removes the mask. Wyatt says isn’t this what Miz wanted? Putting himself in harms way to get what he wants. No one thinks of the consequences, they just want and want, and want…Miz cuts him off and says what does he want? He wants Miz to suffer. He wants Reigns and Ambrose to suffer. He wants people to pay for their sins. He has shown Orton, Uso. He wants everyone to understand that it doesn’t matter how many show up at NOC, because they all fall down.

Reigns is here. His usic hits, and looks like we’re cutting this moment down to size. Ambrose is side by side with Reigns in the audience. Wyatt takes his seat. Harper and Strowman stand behind him. Ambrose and Reigns head into the ring. Miz seems a bit flustered. He introduces Reigns and Ambrose, but Ambrose kicks him and sends him to the outside of the ring. Reigns and Ambrose lock eyes with The Wyatts. We got a standoff. Wyatt grabs the shoulders of Harper and Braun and moves them back.

Reigns takes offense to Wyatt sitting there like he’s the man. He brings up taking out Orton and his blood, Jimmy Uso. He tells Wyatt he’s going to pay. Wyatt stands. Reigns says that if Wyatt was the man, he could have beaten Reigns one-on-one, but he can’t. If they were men, the two of them could have beaten Ambrose and Reigns at Summerslam. They want 3-on-2 because Wyatt is not the man, he needs to surround himself with monster. Reigns says come Night of Champions, it won’t be 3-on-2, they found a third. They have a partner. Reigns says come Houston, they’re going to whoop some Wyatt ass. In 6 days, they’re bringing the big fight, and they’ll make it a war. They are going to win. Believe That.

Wyatt laughs this off. Reigns looks Wyatt dead in the eye as Ambrose chuckles behind.

Match 3: John Cena vs Sheamus
Lockup! Side headlock takedown from Sheamus. Sheamus holds onto it as Cena tries to stand up. He is able to get up, while Sheamus tightens the hold. Cena pushes Sheamus to the ropes. Cena with a right. Whip to the ropes, and Sheamus catches Cena in a sleeper hold! Cena is dropped back down to the mat. Cena is able to turn into the hold, but Sheamus kicks him. Cena with a right, hits the ropes, ducks a clothesline, shoulder tackle! Another! Protobomb! Cena, is apparently, no longer phased by the past few minutes, and does the five knuckle shuffle. AA set up, but Sheamus drops and hits an uppercut. Cena with a right of his own, then a tornado DDT off the 2nd rope. Pin for 1..2…NO! Cena waits for Sheamus to stand up, looking for that AA. Sheamus slides down, though, and goes for a pin! He gets 1..2..NO! Sheamus rises, and goes for the Cloverleaf! He locks an awkward version of it in, and Cena crawls towards the ropes. Sheamsu tries to stop him, but Cena makes it to the ropes! Ref breaks the hold, and Sheamus yells at him for it. Cena is on the apron. He stands up, back to Sheamus, so Sheamus sets him up for the nipple beatdown. Sheamus with the ten beats. Cena drops back down to the apron. Sheamus sets Cena up in a fireman’s. He goes for White Noise, but Cena slips out, and locks in the STF. Sheamus looks to possibly tap, but reaches for the ropes instead. He gets them, and breaks the hold. Sheamus is up on the apron. He stands, and Cena gets himself some revenge with his own beatdown. Cena then sets up with a fireman’s, only for Sheamus to drop and hit a running high knee. Clothesline from Sheamus! Sheamus is in the corner. I think he wants The Brogue. He beats the chest, waits for Cena to stand. Sheamus rushes forward, but Cena hits him with a clothesline! Cena sets up for a powerbomb, but Sheamus turns, so Cena drops him on his face!! STF locked in!! Cena moves his body over to the right, and Sheamus stands up out of the hold!

Sheamus with a rolling Senton!!! Cena no-sells this, stands up! AA to Sheamus! Pin for 1…2…3!!
Official Result: John Cena
This reminds me of Cena matches from 2012-2013. A whole lot of no-selling and underdogging.
Rating: **1/2

Ryback is here. He’s in the middle of the ring for some promo time. He does a little Elvis tribute that looks as awkward as Triple H dancing. He now wants to be serious. He brings up Owens costing him the match. A true champion doesn’t attack a warrior from behind. Owens interrupts Ryback. He heads out with a book in his hand and a microphone. He tells Ryback that he doesn’t mean to interrupt…that’s not true, he does. He has something to share with Ryback. A few months ago, he explained how “The Secret” played a big part in his life, how it helped to recover from the injury and helped him overcome some tough times. After hearing Ryback talk about it, he picked it up. Owens calls The Secret an excuse, a crutch for weak people. He’s not wrong…

Owens can’t blame Ryback for reading it, but he can blame Ryback for being weak in the first place because look at him. Ryback is an absolute monster. He is probably the strongest guy in the locker room, yet he is also the weakest. He thinks it’s a travesty that someone like Ryback is IC Champ. Ryback says Owens is delusional. He judges Ryback by reading a book? Clearly, Owens doesn’t know who Ryback is and what he’s about, so let Ryback tell him. He is The Big Guy, he wakes up hungry, he strives for unlimited energy. He goes to bed and says thank you. He wakes up again and says FEED ME MORE! Ryback says that Owens’ story is truly inspirational, and he respects the time it took Owens to get to ehere he was at, and he admits that he got an elevator ride to the top. But just as quickly as he got to the top, he fell as well. But he didn’t give up, and he climbed back to the top. He stands here, not a weak man, but the Intercontinental Champion. Owens says, “For now.” Because if he ever gets an opportunity at that title, Owens promises that he will take the title from him and show the world that The Big Guy is nothing more than a weak, little boy. Ryback finds this funny, because earlier tonight he asked for a match. Owens vs Ryback for the IC Title at Night of Champions.

Ryback isn’t just SOME Big Guy…he’s THE Big Guy! FEED ME MORE chant. Owens feigns to fight, then ends up walking out. Owens did great.

Remember those guys that were squashed last week in about a minute? Well they’re here with Stardust for a match against Neville and the Lucha Dragons.

Neville and Lucha Dragons rush the ring to attack. The Dragons with suicide dives to The Ascension after tossing them outside. In the ring, Neville clotheslines Stardust to the outside! Neville looks for a suicide dive, but Ascension grabs Cody and drags him out of harms way.

So…no match.

We get a video package/promo of Nikki Bella talking about her reign. It’s horrible. She asks how we spent our year, because she started a revoluiton and cemented a legacy.

Tell that to Sasha, Nikki…

Match 4: Divas Championship Match

Back, and Nikki has control over Charlotte. She flips Charlotte over by her arm, then locks the arm up. Charlotte rolls over into an arm bar, but Charlotte won’t let her lock it in. Charlotte rolls this into a pin for 1…NO! Nikki goes back to trying to lock in the arm bar. Charlotte turns into the hold, and lifts Nikki up from the laying positon. Powerbomb down to Nikki! Charlotte with a bunch of chops! She whips Nikki to the ropes. Big Boot to Nikki! Cover for 1..2..NO! Charlotte grabs Nikki up, but Nikki grabs the arm and drops it over her shoulder again! Nikki with a dropkick to the arm just as Charlotte is about to spear! Nikki grabs the head and slams it into her knee! Pin for 1..2..NO! Charlotte crawls to the ropes. Nikki kicks the rope as Charlotte grabs it. Nikki sets up for the ALabama Slam, but Charlotte holds the legs and loks to roll up, but Nikki escapes. Rope work and Charlotte hits a SPEAR!!! Brie switches spots with Nikki! Charlotte with a rollup! Pin for 1..2….3!!!!

Fuckery..
Rating: **

The Bella Twins try and explain to the ref that they did the switch. Stephanie McMahon is here. She says she needs to uphold the Divas Division, and can’t win the title by pinning someone who isn’t even in the match. Technically, the winner of the match is Charlotte because the moment Brie touched her, it was a DQ. With that being said…Still, DIVAS Champion….Nikki Bella.

Stephanie isn’t done. She says that Charlotte was victorious, therefore she will have a rematch this Sunday. If Nikki loses for any reason, including count out or DQ, she will lose the Divas Championship.

Backstage, Triple H and Steph are talking about Nikki being the longest reigning Divas Champ.
