Does Rey Mysterio Want To Go Back To WWE?

During the recent MLW Radio podcast (via Wrestlezone), Konnan revealed that Rey Mysterio is considering a WWE return if he can get a lighter schedule than his last run. This comes after the news that he is in the middle of a contract dispute with AAA, which is why he has been absent from recent events. AAA reportedly hasn’t paid him on time so he hasn’t appeared for the company this year.

Dave Melzter previously said during Wrestling Observer Radio that AAA and Lucha Underground wanted Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio to be their big stars, but Del Rio ended up returning to the WWE.

Mysterio’s name has come up on WWE programming in the past few months. WWE.com did a feature on him and JBL mentioned him during the Rumble.
