Evolve News: Mini-Documentary on TJP, Angle Update on Champion Timothy Thatcher
– Evolve has posted the following mini-documentary for TJP (TJ Perkins)…
– Evolve has also released the following look at the current angle involving Champion Timothy Thatcher…
We are all very puzzled by the actions of EVOLVE Champion Timothy Thatcher the last time we saw him at the WWN Supershow: Mercury Rising 2016 in Dallas, TX on April 2nd. It has created an unprecedented situation, the likes of which have never been seen in pro wrestling. It has come to be dubbed “The Thatcher Crisis” in the WWN offices.
Thatcher had just defeated Sami Callihan to retain the Title when he was confronted by Drew Gulak, Tracy Williams, Matt Riddle, TJP and Fred Yehi of Catch Point. It looked like Thatcher was in for a beatdown, but instead he agreed to defend the EVOLVE Title against each member of Catch Point, remarking that they each owe him a “debt.” He then dropped the EVOLVE Championship belt in the middle of the ring and said he would have it back when he got “redemption.”
This is a complex situation with Thatcher, who is subject to a suspension after pushing an EVOLVE official aside at EVOLVE 58. EVOLVE officials gave him a leave of absence. This will coincide with the suspension for putting his hands on the EVOLVE official.
Timothy Thatcher will return to EVOLVE on June 10th in Ybor City, FL and June 11th in Orlando, FL. He will defend the title on June 10th, and if successful will then defend it on June 11th.
An added wrinkle in this situation is that Drew Gulak left with the EVOLVE Championship belt at the WWN Supershow and has not returned it. This will be a situation that will be addressed at EVOLVE 60 and EVOLVE 61 next weekend.
