Fan Who Jumped in Ring at Night of Champions Gets Jail Time
September 22, 2015 | Posted by
– The fan who jumped the guardrail and got into the ring during the six-man tag team match at Night of Champions didn’t just get a slap on the wrist. PWInsider reports that the fan, thirty-seven year-old Oscar Ramirez, was charged with criminal trespass of a property or building with no forced entry.
Ramirez pled guilty to the charge and got ten days in jail. If the case had gone to trial, he could have been sentenced to as long as six months behind bars.
WWE had issued a statement to us and other outlets after the show which read, “WWE takes the safety of our performers very seriously and any fan entering the ring area will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” It appears they aren’t kidding.
