411’s WWE NXT Report 11.16.10

It’s elimination time! Tonight, one of the girls will be going home, making the contest tighter than ever. My thoughts are that Aksana is going home, but who knows with this show?! Oh, and as an aside, there are a few commenters that really like the Cole character and want more coverage of him in here. My answer is this; no. A couple of weeks ago, I pointed out that in my opinion, he added nothing to the show and actually hurt it. As such, I have chosen to ignore him for the sake of my enjoyment of this show.

CUE MY MUSIC!!

Yeah you told me that you were an angel, but I already know what ya came for; you make the rain fall!

Striker starts as any other week, in the middle of the ring and he brings out the rookies. Naomi, Kaitlyn, Aksana and….AAAAA JJJJJ!!!!!! Man is she adorable. Striker reminds the ladies that there is an elimination tonight. He congratulates AJ for her win last week and Kaitlyn for her win as well. Right now each of them is tied at 1. They are going to start a Rookie Challenge now! It’s a test as to how well they know their pros. He calls out the Rookies.

Rookie Challenge: How Well Do You Know Your WWE Pro?

They are going to ask a Pro a question, pertaining to the relationship with the Rookie and the Pro will write the answer down, then they will have the Rookies answer the same question in hopes that they have matching answer. Think Newlywed Game if you’ve ever seen it.

First Question: Finish this sentence “When I first saw my Rookie, I thought she was ______.”
AJ: Underage
Primo: 16 years old
AJ gets a point

Aksana: Hot
Goldust: Sexy
Close enough for the point

Kaitlyn: “Soo much prettier than her”

Well that was inoffensive but pretty pointless. I like that they added a new challenge to the mix, I guess.

Match 1: Naomi vs. Kaitlyn
Naomi is already in the ring and Vickie comes out with a microphone. She knows by now that everyone can feel her pain. Her rookie is so ungrateful and can’t get anything right, but here she is….Kaitlyn comes down to the ring, arguing with Vickie. And of course, we start with a lock up. Kaitlyn gets Naomi in a headlock then a hip toss, an Irish whip and Naomi hits a nice dropkick and goes for the pin. Gets a 2. Kaitlyn tries a full nelson drop then a scissors lock from behind. she rolls it over into a pin for one. Naomi throws an elbow as Kaitlyn goes for another pin but only for a one. Kaitlyn throws her legs up and gets a weird submission like hold that causes an easy attempt for Naomi to pin for 2. A hard whip into the corner onto Naomi as Kaitlyn goes for a clothesline. A pin. Kaitlyn wit a headlock from behind. Naomi throws a couple of elbows then gets tossed to the ropes. Sunset flip for 1. Now Naomi tries some kicks and an Irish Whip of her own. She goes for a flip kick and nearly falls on her ass outside the ring then goes up top for a crossbody and a pin for two. Kaitlyn gets in a backbreaker then the pin. Vickie is yelling from the outside while Kaitlyn tries to focus on the match. Naomi goes for a sweet kick to the jaw of Kaitlyn and gets the win!
Winner: Naomi
It’s obvious that Kaitlyn needs some work. You know, doing these recaps has really allowed me to see how formulaic a lot of the matches are as many of them seem pretty redundant. If there’s one thing they need to work on, it’s a fresher way to have a match and I just don’t think Kaitlyn is at the level she needs to be in order to try anything new. Then again, this is a show for Rookies.

Backstage, Aksana comes up to Goldust with some Sunflowers and wants to apologize. She compares herself to Smeagol and Gollum in Lord of the Rings…..she does have a scary resemblance. Goldust can’t understand the comparison and is saying that now that he doesn’t have the belt, everything is supposed to be ok. She says she has flowers for him and didn’t want to hurt Goldust. She doesn’t want to go to the ring by herself and needs her Husband’s help, please. Goldust falls for it and accepts the flowers like a gold lil pansy!

Match 2: A.J. vs. Aksana
Goldust does in fact accompany Aksana to the ring then tosses the flowers down and goes back to his seat where the pros are. hahaaha, ok maybe he’s not a pansy. lol. Bell rings and….LOCK UP. haha. Aksana with a go behind then a belly to back and a cover. Headlock on AJ but AJ gets out of it with a hammer lock. An arm drag and AJ gets a headlock of her own. AJ goes with a bulldog like move although not letting go of her hold. Aksana reverses it into a scissors lock and AJ kips out of it and grabs another hammerlock. Aksana runs to the ropes, tossing AJ out in the process. Aksana holds the ropes, inviting AJ in. As soon as she gets in, Aksana tosses her out then points to Goldust that she’s watching him…lil wench. haha. AJ rolls in the ring and Aksana goes for a pin. She gets a 2 then tosses some elbows. A toss to the apron by Aksana and AJ tries for a boot but it’s deflected. Aksana gets AJ to the ground and gets in a pretty sweet submission move that looks like a rocking horse hold without the rocking. The submission hold is broken, Aksana goes for an inside cradle for 2. AJ hits some quick clotheslines then a cover for 2. AJ tosses Aksana to the corner then meets an elbow. An irish whip and AJ gets in an Octopus hold for the tap out!
Winner: A.J.
AJ continues to impress me and it’s not just because she’s cute. She’s got the skills and the speed to be a great wrestler.

Rookie Challenge: Diss The Diva
I feel Maxine would have done really well in this contest but I digress. Will we hear another cum guzzling gutter slut insult….?

AJ is first. She says she has shown us a lot of sugar, but it’s time for some spice. AJ goes to Aksana and says “You tapped out” probably asking for a chant. She tells Kaitlyn that no one would know who she is if it weren’t for Vickie. She says Naomi is boring. AJ says that this has been her dream for a lifetime as the buzzer cuts her off.

Aksana wants to entertainment us again. She tells Kaitlyn that she saw her on a show then makes no sense. She tells Naomi that her bubbly butt needs to stay away from her husband. She tells AJ that she looks like child and she should go to Kindergarten. She tells the crowd that they all wanna be like Aksana…

Kaitlyn gets one minute. She says if NXT were like high school, Naomi would be the jock, AJ the nerd and Aksana would be the weird foreign exchange student. She of course would be the prom queen. She says she probably doesn’t know what USA stands for. U Suck Aksana. Aksana goes on the attack and Striker breaks it up. Kaitlyn says she loves AJ and starts a You Suck Aksana chant as Aksana goes for another attack.

Naomi is last. She asks the crowd if they agree that Kaitlyn has really nice legs, but her wrestling skills are not as good as her legs at all. She then jumps up and down repeatedly and asks Primo who is she? She then asks the crowd what Aksana has in common with Jamie Keyes and Maxine then tells Aksana she needs to back the F up. She says that just like them, Aksana is about to be eliminated.
Winner: AJ
Alright, I can’t give much credit to this as it sucked hardcore. I think the only part I liked seriously was when Aksana got in Naomi’s face and Naomi said “Girl you betta back up.” Other than that, this was horribly done and showed that they all need some help in the promo department, even my lil AJ.

Elimination Time:
Before the elimination, Striker asks the Bellas what they are looking for. Brie says she is looking for Sexy, Smart and Powerful. Both the in and out of the ring—-she is interrupted by Nikki and says they are looking for Respect and Class! She says that none of the rookies should even be on TV. Alicia Fox says she feels like she’s an employee at Diva Daycare and some of the girls can’t compare to her. She is a hungry piranha willing to bite someone’s head off.

Keep in mind, AJ has immunity…..and the person who is going home is….

AKSANA. She falls to the floor in tears. Goldust sits and stares. She grabs the mic. She says it’s not true and it is a mistake. Someone has made a mistake. She says she is going to fight and going to write a letter to Vince McMahon. She will be back. Bye Aksana.Goldust grabs the mic. He says he knows she just got eliminated but he has one more thing to say to her…. “I want a divorce.”

Show is over.
