WWE News: Why Lawler Moved to Smackdown, Swagger Gets Win Milestone
– The Wrestling Observer reports that the plan has been to move Jerry Lawler out of the Raw announce team spot for a while and that Smackdown is giving them the opportunity to do so. Dave Meltzer stated that WWE has “wanted to get rid of Lawler on Raw for a long time, but after the heart attack, they figured they couldn’t.” Now that they have relaunched Smackdown on Thursday, they have an ostensible reason to do.
– According to North American Wrestling Rankings, Jack Swagger won his 100th televised match with his win over Titus O’Neil on WWE Superstars. This makes him the fourteenth wrestler to get to 100 televised victories since November 2006 alongside CM Punk, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Kane, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Big Show, Mark Henry, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Dolph Zigler and Daniel Bryan.
