WWE Planning to Improve Smackdown Storylines
November 26, 2014 | Posted by
– The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE is aiming to “even the playing field” between Raw and Smackdown next year. Since Smackdown has moved back to Thursday, WWE feels like the Smackdown stories have to be more important so that it is a “can’t miss” show. The company wants to improve the storylines on Smackdown to make it more of an A show instead of a B show to Raw’s A show.
One example of where the company has done this recently was making the announcement on SmackDown that Team Cena’s members would being fired if their team lost at Survivor Series.
