Marty Scurll Booked For Battle Arts PRO Event In August
Santino Marella has announced that Marty Scurll has been booked for an upcoming Battle Arts PRO event on August 13. The post includes a promo from Scurll, who promises to show fans a side of him that they’ve never seen before. The event takes place in Missassauga, Ontario.
Scurll hasn’t had very many bookings since he was accused of sexual assault as part of the Speaking Out movement in 2020. Scurll was accused of assaulting a sixteen-year-old girl who was under the influence of alcohol in 2015, while Scurll was 26. While the age of consent in the UK is sixteen, Scurll noted that he didn’t “become aware of her age until after the encounter; the reality of the age disparity is not lost on me.” He was backstage at at an NJPW show in 2021, and shot footage for an angle, but it was never used due to backlash. He has since worked shows in Mexico and other countries.
