WWE Smackdown Rating Ticks Up After Last Week’s Fall
The rating for this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown is up following last week’s post-Draft drop. Friday’s show brought in a 0.56 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 2.149 million viewers, up 7.7% and 4.4% respectively from the previous week’s 0.52 demo rating and audience of 2.059 million.
The demo rating was the best outside of the Draft episode since the April 14th episode had a 0.58, while the total audience was (outside last week’s show) the lowest for a FOX-airing episode since the August 26th, 2022 episode had 1.99 million viewers.
Smackdown topped the night among broadcast shows per Showbuzz Daily, beating out ABC’s Jeopardy! Masters which drew a 0.39 demo rating and 5.197 million viewers. Smackdown came in #5 overall for the night behind the two NBA Playoffs games on ESPN (3.15 demo rating/8.640 million viewers and a 1.83 demo rating/5.440 million viewers), the post-game SportsCenter (1.02/2.646 million viewers), and the pre-game show (0.61/1.871 million viewers).
The show is averaging a 0.599 demo rating and 2.328 million viewers in 2023, compared to a 0.534 demo rating and 2.154 million viewers for the same time period in 2022.
