More On Alleged William Regal – CM Punk Incident Last Year, Regal Reportedly Felt It Wasn’t A Big Deal

It was reported last night that CM Punk and William Regal reportedly had a negative interaction in AEW last year, with Punk getting in Regal’s face. The incident reportedly happened on the night Regal debuted, with Punk telling Regal he didn’t trust him because he was a “stooge” for Triple H.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that when Regal told friends about the incident, he didn’t make it sound like it was a “very big deal.” He allegedly didn’t even tell anyone until months after it happened.

Dave Meltzer added that it had absolutely nothing to do with Regal eventually leaving the company. He noted that Regal was going to go back to WWE no matter what once Triple H took power, due to their relationship.
