WWE News: Matt Cardona Costs Josh Briggs Match On NXT, Lyra Valkyria Gives Tatum Paxley a Gift

– Matt Cardona appeared on this week’s episode of WWE NXT and cost Josh Briggs a spot at next week’s NXT vs. TNA Showdown. Tuesday’s show saw Briggs battle Myles Borne for a spot in the men’s Survivor Series-style elimination match against TNA. Late in the match, Briggs ripped the chain from around his neck to use as a fistload, but the former Zack Ryder appeared and stopped him. That allowed Borne to take over and pick up the win with his Borne Again finisher.

– Lyra Valkyria also showed up on this week’s show, appearing backstage with Tatum Paxley who was with The Culling. Valkyria said that she’s been thinking a lot about her friends and wanted to give Paxley something that proved she knew her, presenting her with a Lyra-style doll.

Paxley was delighted by the doll, while Izzi Dame was less than pleased. Later in the show, Dame berated Paxley for being distracted as Shawn Spears and Niko Vance battled Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater.
