Fightful Select has an update on a major debut set for today’s WWE SmackDown TV taping at The O2 Arena in London, England. According to the report, former AEW Women’s World Champion and NXT North American Women’s Champion Blake Monroe will make her debut during today’s taping.
Monroe is reportedly slated to attack former WWE Women’s US Champion Giulia during her scheduled matchup against Kiana James. The TV tapings are taking place right now in London.
Monroe is a native Londoner. Technically, she debuted on SmackDown last month, appearing in a backstage segment with Chelsea Gree. However, it looks like that was not her debut, as WWE has still been advertising that Monroe is “coming to SmackDown.”
So, it looks like Monroe will make her formal debut, or perhaps re-debut, at today’s London TV Taping. Today’s London edition of WWE SmackDown will still air on USA Network at 8:00 pm ET on Friday, June 26.
