TNA Wrestling Issues Statement on Eric Young’s Exit

As previously reported, former TNA Wrestling World Champion Eric Young has come to terms with TNA Wrestling regarding his release. TNA has now issued a statement on his release, wishing the former champion well in his future endeavors (h/t PWInsider).

It reads: “TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Eric Young, effective immediately. EY has had a legendary TNA career, including twice as TNA World Champion. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Young’s exit is part of a recent string of departures and releases from the company. Former World Champion Tessa Blanchard also exited from the promotion last month.

Additionally, it’s rumored by Fightful Select that the door is open for Young to return to WWE. WWE sources reportedly expect young to rejoin the company, but in what type of role is currently unknown.
