Paramount Sets Release Date For Scream 6

Ghostface returns next spring, as Paramount has set a release date for Scream 6 following the latest film’s success. Paramount announced on Friday (per Variety) that the sixth film in the franchise is set for a March 31st, 2023 premiere.

The announcement comes about a month and a half after the sixth entry was announced in a joint statement by Paramount and Spyglass Media. 2022’s Scream has been a big hit for the studios, grossing $81.2 million domestically and $139.6 million worldwide against a budget of just $24 million plus marketing.

Plot details for Scream 6 have yet to be announced, nor any cast members. Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will be back to direct the movie from a script by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, with production scheduled to start this summer.
