The Rock Weighs In On Fast XI Possibly Coming Out In 2026
The next film in the Fast franchise was previously said to be coming in 2026, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson thinks that’s still the plan. Director Louis Leterrier said back in May of last year that he planned to start filming the final film in the main Fast & Furious franchise in early 2025. While there’s been no word on the franchise since then, Johnson was asked at the Golden Globe4s about the expected 2026 release date.
“I think that’s the plan, right?,” he told ET’s Nischelle Turner. “That’s what — we always talk about it. So we’ll see. I don’t know, I don’t know the plan, but maybe.”
The 11th film in the is expected to conclude the main series. Fast X ended on a cliffhanger where Dominick Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew had been targeted by Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the son of Hernan Reyes from Fast Five, who was seeking revenge for his father’s death. Far from unscathed, they got some help from the previously-believed to be dead Gisele (Gal Gadot) while Dante next set his sights on Lucas Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).
