That Hashtag Show reports that new character descriptions have been revealed for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, with two brand new characters getting introduced to the CW shows. This comes after the news that Tyler Hoechlin will be joining the crossover as Superman, along with Lois Lane and the arrival of Ruby Rose as Batwoman, who will get her own series later. Production is set to begin in the fall.

The characters do not have their DC COmics names, but it could be hiding who they really are. First is the character Lon-El, said to be a “male of any ethnicity in his 40s, with the potential to play older than their actual age.” Lon-El is described as “a mysterious visitor who is from another planet and is both ambiguous, inscrutable and has the power that is teased as nearly infinite.” This will be a major recurring guest star and could appear in future episodes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, possibly as as small cameo. There is no character in DC named Lon-El.

The second character is Dr. Elias Kern, who is a male of any ethnicity in his 30s. He’s described as “a psychiatrist with his own mental health problems, Dr. Kern is a brutal sociopath who appears to be starting to lose his grip on reality.” He will be in all three episodes of the crossover.

The crossover begins on December 9 with The Flash, followed by Arrow on December 10 and Supergirl at December 11. All air at 7 PM ET.
