411’s WWE Superstars Report 04.19.14

– Match times are not exact.

– I apologize for this not being released right when the show aired this morning. Warrior Week messed the whole schedule up and I was not mentally prepared for an 8 AM Saturday release.

– The Ultimate Warrior tribute video airs.

Big E vs. Titus O’Neil

Titus and Big E lock up. Titus takes control and gets Big E into the corner but Big E shoves him off and the two lock up again. Titus gets a side headlock. Big E pushes him off the ropes, drops down, leap frogs, Titus counters on the way back and whips him but Big E comes back with a shoulder block. Big E hits the ropes again and Titus gets up and scoop slams Big E. He drops an elbow and lays in a couple stomps and European uppercuts. Titus gets Big E in the corner and just starts beating on him. Titus gets Big E in a World’s Strongest Slam type position and just tosses him to the side. He then hits a big leg drop to the downed Big E for a 2 count. Titus locks on a reverse chinlock but Big E powers up to his feet and gets Titus into the corner. He runs into the corner with a spear and then comes off the ropes but Titus counters with a boot. It gets him a 2 count. Titus begins to crank Big E’s neck to the side. Big E gets to his feet and throws a few body blows but Titus cuts him off with a low knee and hits a scoop slam. He then dog barks for the people. Gotta love the dog bark. Big E gets to his feet and starts fighting back but Titus powers Big E into the corner and gets in a few shoulder thrusts. He talks some trash to Big E in the corner and Big E slaps him! He runs out with strikes but AGAIN Titus cuts him off with strikes. He picks up Big E and goes for that same toss move from earlier but Big E lands on his feet. Two clotheslines and a side belly to belly from Big E! Big splash! If he was Ultimate Warrior this would be over! The straps come down and Big E hits the Big Ending for the win.

Thoughts: This match was odd. Nothing was bad, per say, but the way they structured it threw me off. Titus dominated this from top to bottom. Big E got like no offense in and in the past he’s been built as a dominant force. It just seemed a bit backwards but maybe they still have plans for Titus one day. Who knows?

Los Matadores vs. 3MB (Jinder Mahal/Drew McIntyre)

Drew and Diego start. Drew starts early with a shoulder block but then they do an endless rope running spot. Diego stops him with an ole but Drew drops him with a clothesline. He fights Diego into the corner and charges. Diego stops him with a boot and comes off the top with a rana. He tags in Fernando who comes in with an over the top rope somersault dive. Drew takes control back early though and tags in Jinder. Jinder whips Fernando and eats a rana for his troubles. They lock up again and Jinder gets overpowered but Drew tags in and the two cut off Fernando with some double team trickery.

COMMERCIAL BREAK! TOTAL DIVAS! THERE’S A WEDDING AND EVERYTHING!

We come back and Jinder and Drew are wishboning Diego (according to the commentators). Jinder then takes control and works over Diego’s leg. He cranks it and drops a few elbows and then tags Drew back in. Diego fights back and hits a jawbreaker on Drew. He goes to the corner and tries to boot Drew but Drew catches his leg on his shoulder and drops down to his knees, jarring it. Jinder gets tagged in and works over Diego’s leg some more. He comes off the ropes with a big knee drop and makes a cover but only gets a 2. Jinder tags in Drew and the two hit a double suplex off the ropes on Diego. Drew covers but once again only gets a 2. Diego begins to fight back but Drew cuts him off. He ties Diego up in the tree of woe and lays in a few boots. He tags Jinder back in who also lays in a few boots. Drew gets tagged back in and he charges but Diego gets a leg free and kicks Drew in the face. Both men are down. Drew gets to his feet and ducks a line from Diego. He turns back around right into a DDT! Diego and Drew both get tags and Fernando is in like a house of fire! Flying back elbows galore! He kicks Drew off the apron and comes off the top onto Jinder! Big springboard somersault dive but it only gets a 2! Drew gets dumped to the outside! Jinder and Fernando are legal and they both crash into each other and they’re both down! That was super fast paced. Jesus. Heath and El Torito both get onto thering apron and start cheering for their respective partners to get up. Heath climbs up onto the top rope to cheer on Jinder but Torito crotches him! Fernando then hits a hammerlock DDT on Jinder and that’s the end of that!

Thoughts: This was a fun little fast paced match. Matadores can definitely go and 3MB, even as jobbers, are a perfectly capable trio. I’d love to see both of these teams more on the major shows. I just wish that it was easier to tell Fernando and Diego apart because even the commentators seemed to be getting confused at points.
