AEW Dynamite Surges Over 1.1 Million Viewers, Tops Wednesday Ratings This Week

– Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston has the ratings for last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Dynamite made its Atlantic City debut for this week’s TV tapings at the Boardwalk Hall. Numbers were up overall falling the drops for last week’s show, and AEW drew its highest viewing audience in several months.
Last night’s TBS broadcast drew an audience of 1.129 million viewers. That’s an increase of 175,000 viewers from last week’s show, which drew 954,000 viewers. This is the largest overall viewership for AEW in over four months, since the September 29 episode.
Ratings were also up in the P18-49 key demo. AEW Dynamite finished with a 0.41 rating, or 541,000 viewers, in the demo this week. The number jumped up from last week’s episode, which drew a 0.35.
The Atlantic City debut featured the AEW debut of former WWE Superstar Keith Lee, who beat Isiah Kassidy to earn a spot in the AEW Face of the Revolution Ladder Match at next month’s pay-per-view event. Also, NJPW star and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White stepped through the Forbidden Door and made his AEW debut.
Per Showbuzz Daily, Dynamite ranked No. 1 last night for cable originals, beating both NBA games that aired on ESPN, the Olympic Games on USA Network, and a new episode of South Park on Comedy Central. The NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz came in second with a 0.39.
Olympics coverage on USA Network and South Park on Comedy Central came in third and fourth place with 0.32 ratings. Tucker Carlson Tonight on FOX News topped Wednesday viewership with 3.580 million viewers.
