Backstage Rumor Denies Any Contact Between Alberto Del Rio and WWE
– As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Alberto El Patron (aka Alberto Del Rio) recently appeared on Nos Cayó La Noche in Mexico and said he’s been having communications with WWE about a possible return. However, talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy is claiming this is not the case.
Alberto is quoted as saying, “We have been in communication. We have rebuilt the bridge. On their part, they were wrong on some decisions and I also did some things wrong on my part. I am hoping that we can reach an agreement sometime this year or by the middle of this year I’ll be back there.”
According to McCarthy, Triple H nor anyone else in WWE has reached out to him. He tweeted earlier today, “I’m told he [Triple H] absolutely didn’t reach out to Del Rio for what that’s worth. Nor did anyone.”
It was reported about a year ago that WWE was not interested in bringing Alberto Del Rio back to WWE.
I’m told he absolutely didn’t reach out to Del Rio for what that’s worth. Nor did anyone.
