Athena, Maya World Qualify For Casino Gauntlet Match On AEW Collision

Athena and Maya World are set to collide again, as they both qualified for next week’s women’s Casino Gauntlet match on AEW Collision. Thursday night’s episode of Collision had two qualifying bouts for next week’s match, as Athena took on Rina while Julia Hart went one-on-one with Maya World.

Athena defeated Rina in a little over 13 and a half minutes to clinch the #1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet match, hitting an O-Face to get the victory. Meanwhile, World pinned Hart in a bit under 10 minutes with a Shining Wizard for the #2 spot.

You can see clips from the AEW Collision matches below. The Casino Gauntlet Match will take place on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, with the winner earning a shot at Thekla and the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Redemption later this month.

World and Athena have been at odds of late, with World defeating Athena to advance to the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finals. She lost to Mercedes Mone in the finals at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
