Backstage Injury Update on Juice Robinson
– As previously reported, AEW star Juice Robinson suffered an injury last week during his Continental Classic match against Will Ospreay during the Collision TV tapings. He was later reportedly seen on crutches with his left ankle wrapped at WrestleCade. Meltzer had an update on Robinson during today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.
According to Meltzer, Robinson is fearing a “potential broken boot.” Robinson reportedly underwent x-rays and didn’t have the results back as of earlier this week. Robinson was said to be “fearing” he suffered a broken foot.
Juice Robinson is currently one of the Gold League competitors in the Continental Classic tournament. It’s unknown how AEW would potentially handle dealing with Robinson likely having to withdraw from the tournament due to injury. Meltzer speculated that Robinson would have to forfeit his remaining matchups, or someone else would have to take his place.
