– According to a report by Fightful Select, there have been internal discussions in AEW about potentially bringing in WWE Hall of Famer and former World Champion Rob Van Dam. One of the ideas reportedly pitched for RVD would be for Van Dam to face FTW Champion Jack Perry, with the match taking place at either All In or All Out.

Fightful Select noted that none of this has been confirmed yet. Perry has recently been targeting some ECW legends on recent editions of AEW programming, including verbally trashing former FTW Champion Taz and having a face-to-face confrontation with former ECW star and World Champion Jerry Lynn. So, it appears this could potentially be setting up a showdown between Lynn and Rob Van Dam.

RVD, age 52, has remained sporadically active in the ring since leaving Impact Wrestling in September of 2020. He wrestled twice earlier this year, competing in events for World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling and International Wrestling Cartel.

AEW has not yet announced any plans to have Rob Van Dam to face Jack Perry. AEW All In is scheduled for Sunday, August 27 at Wembley Stadium in London. AEW All Out 2023 will be one week later on Sunday, September 3 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
