Backstage Update on Lil Yachty Appearing in WWE

As previously reported, WWE Superstar Trick Williams invited rapper Lil Yachty to WWE, and it looks like Lil Yachty in WWE is about to become a reality.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has an update on the hip-hop star and noted wrestling fan appearing in WWE. He’s expected to accept Williams’ invite and appear on tomorrow’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

WrestleVotes Radio reports that Yachty has been in negotiations with WWE for a while. It’s also said there’s a possibility that his appearance on SmackDown could lead to a WrestleMania 42 relationship as well, and possibly extend the two parties’ relationship beyond that time-frame.

Williams is currently slated to challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE US Title at the upcoming premium live event, with the match being made official by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis on last week’s show. Yachty is a big WWE fan, and he’s been seen in attendance at WWE PLEs before, such as last year’s Survivor Series.

Tomorrow’s SmackDown is being held at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The show will air live on USA Network starting at 8:00 pm ET.
