Backstage Update on Tony Khan’s ‘Massive’ AEW Announcement

– According to a report by Mat Men Podcast’s Andrew Zarian has an update on Tony Khan’s massive announcement planned for AEW. As previously reported, Khan is expected to make the announcement tonight on Dynamite on TBS.

According to Zarian’s source, someone said on Khan’s announcement, “In many circles, it’s believed AEW & HBO Max have agreed to a deal.” It was also reportedly said that AEW now has access to an “International Pro Wrestling Promotions catalog.”

What the international wrestling promotion could be is unknown. Fans will have to wait until later tonight to find out what the announcement could possibly be.

HBO Max is WarnerMedia’s subscription streaming service. As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, HBO Max recently inked its first live sports deal to air US Men’s and Women’s National Team Soccer matches.

AEW Dynamite airs tonight on TBS at 8:00 pm ET.
