Backstage Update on Santos Escobar Following Last Night’s WWE Raw

As previously reported, recently re-signed WWE Superstar Santos Escobar was expected to be at last night’s WWE Raw at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Some fans even speculated that the recent teaser videos, which are rumored to be related to promotion for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, might have been signaling the re-arrival of Escobar in WWE.

Escobar notably did not appear on last night’s WWE Raw. PWInsider has an update on Escobar following last night’s show. According to the report, although Escobar did not appear on screen, he was in attendance and backstage at the event.

According to multiple sources, Escobar’s WWE contract expired on October 7, but the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion re-signed with the company a day later. This timing has fueled speculation that WWE could be planning to reintroduce him into an ongoing storyline or even shift him to RAW’s active roster.

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion’s WWE contract reportedly expired earlier his month. However, it was said that Escobar later re-signed with WWE a day later.

Escobar last wrestled at AAA x WWE Worlds Collide: Los Angeles earlier in June, reuniting with Legado Del Fantasma’s Berto and Angel against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown. Legado Del Fantasma picked up the victory.

It’s unknown when Santos Escobar will be making his WWE TV return.
