Carmelo Hayes & The Miz Split Up On WWE Smackdown

Carmelo Hayes and The Miz’s alliance is no more, with Hayes calling them quits on this week’s WWE Smackdown. Friday’s show saw Miz confront Hayes in a backstage segment about how the latter star didn’t try to break up the pin during their match with The Street Profits on last week’s show.

Hayes told Miz that he should have kicked out and said that they were done as a team. He said that normally he would shoot first when he splits from someone but said he was trying to be cool and left to Miz’s dissatisfaction. Hayes then came out to try to answer Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the United States Championship, but Miz came up behind him and hit a Skull Crushing Finale.

The two began teaming up, taking the tag name Melo Don’t Miz, back in February.
