Carmelo Hayes Reflects On NXT Stand & Deliver Match With Trick Williams

Carmelo Hayes recently shared his thoughts on his match with Trick Williams at NXT Stand & Deliver. Williams defeated Hayes in a steel cage match at the April NXT event, and on this week’s The Bump Hayes was asked about Williams’ previous comments about how it was a great moment for the both of them even though they’re no longer allies.

“Yeah, I mean, it was definitely a cool moment, you know, everything aside,” Hayes said (h/t to Wrestling Inc). “I’m glad we got to do that, again he made a good point, you know, a lot of people didn’t expect it was going to come down to him and I, thought it was Trick-Melo gang forever.

He continued, “But you know, I had to do what I had to do and that’s what makes me, me. I see something, I make a decision, and normally on that decision I’m right and I always prosper in the end.”

Hayes is now on the Smackdown brand and faces Baron Corbin tonight in a WWE King of the Ring first round match.
