Chad Gable Calls His Run As Shorty G One Of His ‘Low Periods’

Chad Gable recently looked back at the Shorty G gimmick he had in WWE a few years ago and discussed why it was a “low period” for him. Gable was given the “Shorty G” gimmick as a reference to his height back in 2019, and he spoke about that period on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg.

“If you want to say the Shorty G period, where I would consider that one of my low periods,” Gable said (per Wrestling Inc). “That was a rough one to get through, it’s a rough one to kind of bridge the gap and say I can do this one too. I can make it through this one because sometimes it doesn’t seem like there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”

He continued, “I have a wife and kids that can kind of level me out when those things happen and put things in perspective. I think that’s the whole key to it all is just perspective.”

Gable spent about a year under the name before he reverted to his main ring name and founded Alpha Academy in December of 2020 with Otis.
