Chelsea Green Appearing in Hate The Player: The Ben Johnson Story

Deadline reports that WWE Superstar Chelsea Green appears in a cameo in the upcoming Canadian comedy television series, Hate The Player: The Ben Johnson Story. The upcoming show is based on Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson and his positive drug test at the 1988 Olympic Games.

Shamier Anderson portrays Ben Johnson in the series. Johnson won a gold medal at the Olympic Games. However, he was caught up in a doping scandal and disqualified in what later became known as “the dirtiest race in history.”

Other cast members include Ryan Belleville, Darryl Hinds, Lisa Horner, Emma Hunter, Suresh John, Jonathan Langdon, Gita Miller, Andrew Phung, Dewshane Williams, Leslie Adlam, and Arnold Pinnock. Other sports stars making cameos in the show include Canadian NASCAR driver Amber Balcaen and Canadian figure skating champion Elvis Stojko.

The series debuts on March 26 on GameTV and streams on March 27 on Paramount+ Canada. You can check out the trailer reveal below. Chelsea Green is currently sidelined with an ankle injury she suffered last month and is currently recovering.

Despite the injury, Green has still made some recent appearances on WWE TV. She recently commented on her injury while talking to The Ghost of Hollywood, revealing that her inner ankle bone is “chipped and cracked.”
