UPDATED: CWF Mid-Atlantic Fires Booker & Announcer Brad Stutts
UPDATE: PWinsider now reports that the firing took place on January 6th following a meeting with owner Jeff Rudd and Trevor Lee, who is one of the senior members of the promotion’s locker room. The news shocked a lot of people, as Stutts was well liked in the North Carolina wrestling scene. The firing came prior to a Rising League Generation event, which is one of the promotion’s secondary tier shows, where trainees and talents needing experience get the chance to work with wrestlers who are more seasoned. That show was headlined by Kool J defeating CWF Rising Generation League Champion Mike Mars to win the belt. This was a booking change made as part of the new direction, with a low level talent suddenly beating an undefeated star out of nowhere.
ORIGINAL: PWinsider’s Mike Johnson reported last night that CWF Mid-Atlantic had fired booker and announcer Brad Stutts. The promotion confirmed the news, citing that Stutts has been engaging in what they believe is “inappropriate behavior”…
Just confirmed Booker & lead announcer @Stuttsy was fired last night by @cwfmidatlantic. Owner Jeff Rudd confirms. Have reached out to Stutts. Has not returned voicemail. Big story for that area given how popular CWF is locally. More forthcoming.
