Darby Allin is still the AEW World Champion following his match with Mike Bailey, retaining the title on this week’s AEW Dynamite. Allin battled Speedball on Wednesday night’s show in his seventh title defense since he won the World Championship from MJF a little over a month ago.

Bailey gave Allin a hell of a fight, but Allin was ultimately able to come out on top. Allin locked Bailey in a Scorpion Death Lock and while Bailey was able to get the rope break, Allin quickly hit a Coffin Drop and then locked in the Scorpion Death Lock again to make Bailey tap out in just over 10 and a half minutes. You can see highlights from the match below.

After the match, MJF hit a sneak attack on Allin. He went to go after Allin with an an electric razor, but Allin trapped MJF’s arm and MJF had to run away.

Allin’s AEW World Championship reign stands at 36 days, having defeated MJF at AEW Dynamite: Spring BreakThru on April 15th. Allin and MJF will run it back at AEW Double Or Nothing this weekend.
