Goldberg’s retirement match is not expected to take place at WrestleMania, according to a new report. As reported, the WWE Hall of Famer announced over the weekend that he will have his retirement match in WWE next year. It’s been widely speculated that Gunther will be his opponent based on how WWE has been setting things up, with Gunther insulting Goldberg at Bad Blood, and it was noted on the WOR that Gunther is Goldberg’s most likely opponent. According to sources in the company, the match will not take place at WrestleMania 41.

No word on which PPV will actually host the match. WWE has yet to confirm Goldberg’s opponent at this time.
