GUNTHER Thinks Damian Priest Has Done Well As WWE World Heavyweight Champion

In an interview with Gorilla Position (via Fightful), GUNTHER gave his thoughts on his Summerslam opponent, Damian Priest, and his run as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The two will have a match for that belt on August 3.

He said: “I think he’s done a good job. I feel like, for everybody in that situation, it’s a big challenge. You look at the history of the World Heavyweight Championship so far, it was Seth Rollins, who held it for a very long time. But he was already a very established superstar before becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Drew had it for a few minutes, I don’t really count that now. Then Priest had to basically take it over, so I can only assume it was a big challenge for him, but I think he stood up to the challenge and carried himself in a very good way, I think. It’s not gonna last that match longer, to be honest.“
