Himanshu’s TNA Impact Review 10.16.25

Hey there, TNA fans! It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time for another episode of TNA iMPACT! I’m Himanshu (you can follow me on Twitter @Himanshu_Doi) and you know how this works. Tonight on iMPACT, we’ll go beyond the ring with exclusive access to TNA’s biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory with never-before-seen interviews, backstage footage and more.

As a reminder, the GoFundMe for Larry’s daughters is still active, and if you can make a donation, that would be awesome. Thank you so much to everyone who’s done so thus far.

TNA iMPACT!

Date: October 16th, 2025
Location: Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matt Rehwoldt

We see footage from Bound For Glory after the main event when Mike Santana won the TNA World Championship and returned to the back with his daughter.

Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt introduce us to the show.

We see footage from Bound For Glory when the marines started off the show and Maclin made his entrance. Maclin is backstage and says that he hopes he has a kid, he pushes them to do whatever they dream.

We see highlights of Leon Slater vs. Je’Von Evans from Bound For Glory.

Leon Slater joins the studio via a spaceship. He says he was aware of Je’Von Evans. He says there are hungry challengers coming up every month and it was pretty close, but due to Dark State, we didn’t get to see who the better man was. He says all the match needed was the cherry on top to see who the better man was, and Dark State stomped on it. He says he thinks the match against Je’Von Evans is going to happen a million more times. He says he has no clue what is next for him. He says he is going to do more of the same. Leon Slater leaves through a spaceship.

We see highlights of The Beautiful People and Mickie James’ TNA Hall of Fame Induction.

Mickie James joins the studio in-person. Tom Hannifan talks about Carlos Silva announcing that she is in the Hall of Fame, and she says she knew something was up. She says she hadn’t met Carlos Silva. She says for it to come to fruition is beautiful. She says she asked Nick Aldis what to say. She says every time that she has come back here, it has given her more confidence. Tom Hannifan talks about her being on the first broadcast of TNA and she says Raven was a catalyst as her being in The Gathering. She says she wasn’t a goth girl, and she had to research. She says she got to work with Punk and Julio and also Jeff. She says she got to work in the Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. She says she the reason she asked Lisa to introduce her is because she is a first ballot Hall of Famer but also because she is her best friend. She says she made Hardcore Country great in the first few years. She says there were familiar faces but also new faces in the Knockouts Division. She says her hat was made by Gia Miller. She says kicking Tessa Blanchard’s ass was a bonus. She says for NXT and TNA to merge together and being represented is cool. She says she had a long chat with Kelani Jordan after for some advice. She says there were so many fresh faces, and it goes to show how the division continues to grow.

Eric Young appears in the studio. He says he was robbed, but it was enjoyable. He talks about BDE and says it was a mockery about what they do. Tom Hannifan asked about admitting that he was Super Eric and if it bothered him not admitting it all these years. Eric asked him if he looks bothered. Tom Hannifan asks him what is next. He says whatever he wants and whatever they deem to be cleansed and rectified. He says they’re not ready of the truth and they’re part of the problem of what makes this world sick. He tells them to think about what he said. He walks away but appears right in front of the camera and talks about Eddie Edwards and Moose and OGs and asks who more OG is than him.

We see highlights from The Hardys vs. Team 3D from Bound For Glory.

Matt Rehwoldt says Team 3D and The Hardys found their final form in TNA. Hannifan and Rehwoldt go through the Bound For Glory match.

The Hardys join the studio. Jeff Hardy talks about watching ECW quietly to not wake up their Dad. He said facing the Dudleys on PPV was incredible. Matt Hardy says the energy and the way they reacted, it was palpable. He says they took moments to be present in those moments and they didn’t rush anything in that match. He says from alpha to omega, that match would be burned in his memory for the rest of his life. Matt Hardy says they did not know that The Dudleys were going to hang up their boots and handing it to them was the ultimate sign of respect.

We see a sneak peek of Fade to Black.

We see highlights of Trick Williams vs. Mike Santana from Bound for Glory. Hannifan and Rehwoldt go through the Bound For Glory match.

Santana joins the studio. He talks about Konnan and Homicide. He said there were a lot of doubters and they proved them all wrong. He says they took him under their wing and he couldn’t be more thankful and more blessed. He said Konnan had a lot of impact on his life and his career. He said Konnan said that all he ever asks of him is to keep it real with him. He says for Konnan to be there, he couldn’t ask for anything better. He calls him a pioneer and says he has helped so many people. He says the car ride from the UBS Arena was one of the hardest things because he could see how disappointed his daughter was. He says he made a promise to her and to himself that he wouldn’t disappoint her again. He says for him, we won at life and he could retire tomorrow. He says everything after this is a plus.

Eric Young shows up and he’s won more matches in this company than anyone and he’s done everything there is to do. He keeps talking and laughs as the show ends.

We got some highlights from Bound For Glory and some exclusive in-studio interviews. I would rather have had them carry over the momentum coming off of their record crowd at Bound For Glory right on to the next set of TV tapings, but for what this show was, it was pretty good.
