The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP) defeated The Demand (Ricochet and Gates of Agony) at AEW WrestleDream 2025. Win the win, they are now the number one contenders to the AEW World Trios Championship which are currently held by The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs).

Bobby Lashley and Co. were jumped from behind by The Demand during their entrance, leading to a brawl at ringside. After Ricochet took out Lashley with a Spirit Gun, he placed The All Mighty’s battered body on the commentary table, with GOA Chokeslamming Shelton Benjamin from the steep steps onto him.

Lashley eventually got into the mix, delivering a Dominator to Ricochet before attempting a Superplex, only to be powerbombed by GOA. The former AEW World Tag Team Champions eventually turned the tide in their favor when The Gold Standard Suplexed Ricochet out of the ring before taking out the heel trio with a dive on the outside.

The Hurt Syndicate eventually took out Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona, leaving Ricochet to fend for himself. The closing moments of the match saw Lashley Spear Kaun and seal a pinfall victory for his team and a shot at The Opps’ AEW World Trios Championship.
