Jack Perry may have failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the ongoing AEW Continental Classic Tournament, but he feels that participating in the tournament has once again lit a fire inside him.

Jungle Boy wasn’t initially supposed to participate in the 2025 Continental Classic. He was brought in during the tournament to replace an injured Darby Allin. Perry exceeded expectations, as he picked up crucial victories over “Speedball” Mike Bailey and PAC to pick up six points. However, he failed to defeat Kyle Fletcher at last night’s Christmas Collision and bowed out of the tournament.

Jack Perry addressed his defeat in exclusive footage shared by AEW’s X handle.

Here’s what he said:

“I feel like I should say that I’m disappointed, but honestly, I’m not. It’s been so long since I felt like my heart was alive when I was wrestling. When I first got the call to fill in at the last minute for Darby, I didn’t hesitate to accept, but I wasn’t sure if I could really do it. I knew I could get through the matches, but I wasn’t sure if I still had what I felt it took to give this tournament, to give this company, what I’ve always felt it deserved. I didn’t win, but for the first time in a really long time, I can feel a spark again. Maybe, maybe, that spark can turn into the raging fire that it once was.”
