Janel Grant’s Spokesperson Says Mr. McMahon Docuseries Team Reached Out
A spokesperson for Janel Grant has confirmed that the team behind Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries did reach out about a potential interview. The Netflix series arrives on September 25th and looks at the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, but as previously reported Grant’s rep had said she was not interviewed for the series.
Grant’s representative has now clarified the matter, telling POST Wrestling in a statement:
“Netflix’s documentary group made initial outreach to Janel’s representation for an interview for this project,” a spokesperson for Janel Grant stated to POST Wrestling. “Despite this, no such interview came to fruition.”
Brandon Thurston reports for POST that according to a source with knowledge of the production, Grant was approached to participate several times but ultimately chose not to.
As noted, WWE was not involved in production on the series, which is produced by Library Films.
