Josh Bredl May Appear In Royal Rumble As Punishment For Twitter Remarks
As we previously reported, Josh Bredl caught a lot of heat on social media for calling the Social Outcasts the “social jobbers”. Members of the stable, Stardust, Kevin Owens and even non-employees like Taz criticized him for his actions. Bredl won Tough Enough and is currently in NXT as Bronson Mathews. There is said to be a “tremendous” amount of heat on him, more than you’d think given what he said. He already had issues since he is under a $250,000 NXT contract, which is more than the rest of the roster is earning, due to winning a contest.
Most of the NXT wrestlers will be backstage at the Royal Rumble and there are some in WWE who think that Bredl could be booked to appear in the Rumble as a “hazing” punishment, similar to what happened to Daniel Puder in 2005. Puder embarrassed Kurt Angle during the Tough Enough competition and was then beat up in the 2005 Rumble by Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Hardcore Holly. It was Puder’s last WWE TV appearance before getting released later that year.
