Latest On Bronson Reed’s Injury Status & Surgery Plans

Bronson Reed is out of action due to the arm injury he suffered on WWE Raw, and a new report has a bit of an update on his status. As noted, Reed suffered a distal bicep tear in his Elimination Chamber triple threat qualifying match on Monday’s show. Reed suffered the injury when he dove to break up a pinfall attempt, then rolled out of the ring. Reed did not return to the match, which Jey Uso won by pinning El Grande Americano.
It has been noted that Reed was intended to win the match, and that WWE called an audible mid-match. Fightful Select confirmed said report in their Friday Debunkathon roundup.
It had been previously reported that Reed would be getting surgery if he hadn’t already. Fightful Select notes that Reed has not yet and is scheduled to undergo surgery soon. The report adds that Reed is expected to be out of action through WrestleMania.
The Vision member had been factored into WrestleMania plans creatively, and WWE is having to reconfigure their plans now that he is on the shelf. It’s not yet clear exactly what the plans were for Reed heading for WrestleMania, which takes place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
