Mark Henry doesn’t think that Chris Jericho’s decision to return to AEW will jeopardize his chances at the WWE Hall of Fame. Jericho made his return to AEW back at the start of April, ending months of speculation about his future plans. He had been off AEW TV for nearly a year, and there had been a belief he could return to WWE with his contract coming up.
Henry spoke with ITR Wrestling for a new interview, and during the conversation he was asked about Jericho’s return. He noted that Jericho can control his future better in AEW and that his legacy will be unchanged, including an expected WWE Hall of Fame induction when he retires.
“He wants to create and control the narrative,” Henry said. “He has a better chance of doing that at AEW. His legacy is going to be what it is. He succeeded in WWE, and he succeeded at AEW.”
Henry continued, “When he decides to stop, the WWE still is going to want to put him in the Hall of Fame. There is no change. Nothing has changed, you know, with him going back to AEW, nothing has changed, just only the timeline.”
Since his return to AEW TV, Chris Jericho has been feuding with Ricochet and The Demand.
