Marty Scurll is officially gone from Ring of Honor. ROH announced on Monday that they have mutually agreed to part ways. The statement did not offer any additional details than that.

The exit marks the end of a turbulent year for Scurll and ROH. He signed a new deal with the company in January of 2020 after months of speculation over what he would do. His new deal made him the head of creative for ROH in addition to his on-screen and in-ring work. However, his first show that would have seen him take charge, the Anniversary show in March was canceled at the last minute due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Scurll was then accused during the #SpeakingOut movement in June of sexually assaulting a 16 year-old in the UK who was intoxicated. Scurll said in statements that he believed the encounter to be consensual and legal, while saying that he supported her right to speak out. ROH promised to investigate anyone named as part of the movement, saying in a statement:

“At Ring of Honor, we pride ourselves on the respectful and inclusive environment we have built, one that ensures all employees can work in a place where they feel safe and respected. We take these matters extremely seriously and have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to this type of behavior. Ring of Honor has launched an immediate investigation into the claims made against its currently contracted wrestlers. We will update you on our investigation once it concludes.”

Scurll was removed from the roster page of the website in October and was not used when ROH returned from its hiatus in any capacity. He had not been at tapings or PPVs since the resumption of shows.
