Matt Riddle Reveals Randy Orton Didn’t Like Him at First

– During a recent chat with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle spoke about his RK-Bro tag team with Randy Orton and how the two hit it off. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):
Matt Riddle on teaming with Randy Orton: “We wrestled, we tagged, and we just hit it off. The crowd was really behind us. … Once we started teaming up, we just kept it going, but the original plan was for him to turn on me.”
On Orton not liking him at first: “I stayed in touch with him. [At first] he didn’t like me at all. … I remember even when I was in NXT, he would make comments. And then I won the tag titles with Pete [Dunne], he was like, ‘I still don’t like you, but I get it.’ He said that via Twitter.”
During their run as a tag team, RK-Bro became two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. Riddle was released by WWE in September 2023 before Orton returned to the ring later in November. Riddle currently holds the NJPW Television Championship.
