Matthew Rehwoldt Recalls Sami Zayn’s Reaction To Bryan Danielson’s WrestleMania 30 Win

Bryan Danielson (then Daniel Bryan) won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30, and Matthew Rehwoldt recently recalled Sami Zayn’s reaction to the win. Rehwoldt was a guest on Developmentally Speaking and talked about being backstage and seeing Zayn, who is a close friend of Danielson’s, pick up the win.

“I was at WrestleMania 30 when the whole Daniel Bryan thing [happened],” Rehwoldt said (per Wrestling Inc). “I think I still have a photo of Sami Zayn who was with ‘NXT,’ watching Bryan, who was like an old friend of his, win the world title. I have a photo of him watching from the tunnel. It was actually really cool.”

Rehwoldt was most recently working for Impact Wrestling as a commentator, and announced earlier this week that he is now a free agent and interested in a potential in-ring return.
