WWE’s YouTube channel released a vlog covering Maxxine Dupri’s days surrounding her defeating Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. We see Maxxine training for the match at the Performance Center. Then we see her at Madison Square Garden the days of the show. The full video is below.
Getting Ready For The Match
“I’m feeling extra nervous at the moment if we’re being totally honest, but I always get that way, like, the closer we get and then once my music hits, I’ll come to life. But until then, I kind of become a shell of a human. (laughs) But it’s okay, we’re locking in. Hurricane always tells me to take 10 slow, deep breaths so that I, like, create that oxygen in my lungs. So, I do that about 100 times and then by then I’m, like, okay, I’m gonna survive.”
After Winning The Women’s Intercontinental Championship
“I can’t believe my parents were here. I’m so excited to have dinner with them and just like talk about everything now. I’m excited to see what my parents thought and if they were emotional. I think Anthony (her fiancé, has competed on WWE LFG) was also emotional because when I came back he was, like, feeling some type of way and I was like, oh, I gotcha. (chuckles) It was funny, we were talking last night and I was like, I don’t know. I never thought I’d be champ. Like I just never thought that this would happen for me. And he was like, I knew the day you got called up and that’s a good fiance right there. It took a few years, but we made it. (chuckles)”
Maxxine Dupri has not been announced for tonight’s Raw event, but one wouldn’t be surprised to see her. Her rival Becky Lynch will definitely be in Oklahoma City for tonight’s show, airing at 8 PM Eastern on Netflix. 411, as always, will have live coverage.
