Mina Shirakawa has broken her silence following her and Toni Storm’s defeat in the final of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament on Dynamite: Winter Is Coming.
The Timeless Love Bombs were up against the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) in the final of the tournament. The back-and-forth encounter ultimately ended in Nightingale and Cameron’s favor after Harley turned Mina’s Glamorous Driver into her Finishing Move, followed by Willow taking down the Japanese pro wrestler with a Babe with the Powerbomb for the pinfall win.
Later, Mina Shirakawa took to her X account to reflect on the heartbreaking defeat. She noted how she always falls “one step short” of championship glory but declared that the Timeless Love Bombs will eventually win the title.
She wrote:
“The title of the first-ever champion is something that will be remembered forever. I wanted us to be the ones to make that history. I always fall just one step short of reaching the belt. But I’ll face this pain head-on, and Toni and I will definitely take that championship. Never give up.”
